According to Cambridge Dictionary, accreditation is an “official approval, esp. in order to maintain satisfactory standards”.
Another website, vocabulary.com, defines accreditation as “the act of granting credit or recognition (especially with respect to educational institution that maintains suitable standards)”.
Accreditation, therefore, can be explained as the process of officially recognising a particular status/quality (to an institute) in order to perform a particular activity. It is a validating process which the institute is evaluated so that it meets specific set of standards or criteria. It acts like a checking tool and ensures that the institution keeps on improving their performance and results. The body which evaluates the institutions and recognise them the status is known as “the accrediting body”.
The TEFL courses provided by Asian College of Teachers (ACT) are accredited by TESOL Canada, the only Official Centre to provide accreditations to TESOL educators worldwide. TESOL Canada ensures that the institutions that it endorses continuously strive for higher standards and improve their teaching skills and ethics as well as their learning outcomes. It also guarantees that the institutions providing online TESOL courses include adequate research on teaching, use of latest technology in the classrooms, lesson planning and teaching methodologies.

Higher Education (QAHE) and CPD Certification Service UK. Accreditation Service for

According to Cambridge Dictionary, endorsement is “the act of saying that you approve of or support something or someone”.
Endorsement is therefore the permission to carry out any particular application in the field in which the institution already has the license to do so. Endorsements are carried out by an ‘Endorsing Body’. When a body endorses a learning course of an institution, it means that they have confidence in the institution to develop and deliver their own courses. The endorsing body do not play a direct role in formulating, designing or monitoring the courses of an institution offering those, however there are visits as well as checking of the course materials so that they are able to maintain as well as keep on improving and upgrading their standards.
